The indoor rock wall will help your group develop their climbing techniques and become efficient belayers (climber's anchor person and safety line), while exhilarating outdoor climbs range from beginner-level to verticals that go beyond limits.
Go underground in the Okupata limestone caves, with its inner cave stream, glow-worm displays and optional tight squeezes.
River erosion has carved out amazing chasms through high, moss-covered rock walls. It may involve swimming and jumping, and promises spectacular scenery.
This course includes our indoor rock climbing wall, the giant's ladder, the vertical play pen, the towering leap of faith, and high ropes elements. This will challenge your group's courage, commitment and teamwork.
Take in the scenery down a more leisurely grade two, or ride the roar of rushing white water in a higher energy grade three. We use paddle rafts (8, 6, and 2 person rafts) so everyone can participate and share the thrill of negotiating their raft downstream.
With mountains only 30 minutes away from where you are sleeping at BMAC, we can offer diverse challenges traversing Tongariro, Ngauruhoe, and Ruapehu. You'll be rewarded with awe-inspiring views at the top of the world, and even have the option of an overnight stay in a snow cave (in winter).
Karabiner, figure eight, static rope. These are all terms your group will become familiar with during their abseiling experience. After a short hike to the top of one of our numerous abseils, our experienced staff will secure the lines and equip you with the necessary gear and info to complete your descent in safety and style.
Canadian canoeing can be as strenuous or as relaxing as you choose. You may wish to carve through an undulating river surrounded by cliffs, or meander across a placid lake with mountains showing-off nearby.
Your team will learn the skills to manoeuvre their own craft, on still or moving water. We can provide a first taste for those who are new to this fantastic sport, or a multi-day NZQA-qualified course for those looking to build on their skills.
